The limestone tiles on the floor continue the medallion theme throughout the bathroom.  Notice the detail work in the corner where the boarder has been carefully spliced.  This corner, just in front of the shower, is the focal point of the bathroom, and it was from this point that the boarder was oriented to insure perfect alignment.
