This family room is an expansion of an existing room, and constructed in conjunction with a new kitchen and patio, creating a family "area" that could be functional and usable year-round.  Great pains were taken to carefully match the existing style of the house and to use identical bricks that were carefully (and artificially) "weathered" to appear as if the addition were always part of the house.

The Project:
Expand family room and patio living spaces by removing external wall and expanding the room outward.  Construct a stone wall to elevate patio area to family room level.  Build new roof over addition.

Location:
Shaker Heights, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland).
